My “new” Smart Fortwo had been parked for a while, when I bought it, and needed a bucket of soap, and a thorough scrub.
The previous owner has only washed it by hand, and I must admit that I’m a bit hesitant to place the soft top in an automated car wash.
I’ll have to read up on how best to treat and take care of the soft top.
Only other car I have had with a (partial) soft top, is my lovely old Land Rover, and that’s a canvas hood, and a completely different story.
Washing a car by hand is almost meditative 😊
